ABOUT ME

Although I’m a business professor, with a Ph.D. and accounting credentials, CPA, CMA, I’m also a glass artist. I’ve worked for years with stained glass and fused glass for a few years. Glass is a very fun medium to work with and I love all the possibilities and challenges of two and three dimensional work.

Some glass pieces require more processes than others such as painting and firing the paint or slumping /bending. For other pieces, details are added using a propane burner torch to bend thin glass, called stringers, to add details on  flowers and leaves  before firing.  Depending upon the process I program the kilns to run a full fuse, tack fuse, or slump, with ranges of 1220 -1480 degrees F. I enjoy working with glass and nature so I hope you enjoy my work too!
