Sept 3, Attended the annual Art in the Desert at Bend in the Old Mill District situated on the banks of the Deschutes festival. There were 110 tents but it was so cold! One glass lady had on her snow boots to stay warm in her booth. Lots of cool items for sale. Hope to make it to the Pearl District in Portland for this weekend’s art show but not sure I’m going.

Upcoming art show at MaryHill Museum, Aug, 21 & 22 should be a great way to spend a day. I also plan to attend a tour of Gorge artist studios-Peter McGrain and others as well as the hot shops Sept. 4. A few years ago I tok Peter’s glass painting class which was fun and entertaining with his slides as the kilns did their work. Looking forward to taking a glass class with Nathan Sandburg at Bullseye in Portland later in August.

Will take a picture of the backsplash I made for a sink after it’s installed this weekend. It’s one piece 6″ tall by 24″ wide and very fun looking!

July 17 Attended the artist receptions at the Suncatcher studio in Milton-Freewater and also brough in some additional pieces for the front of the store and for my section.

July 17, 2010 Attended the art reception at Suncatcher studio in Milton-Freewater and met the two artists of the month. Took in more of my artwork so Jo placed some in the front window and I put more pieces up on my board for sale.

July 2, 2010 Visited the Suncatcher Studio, in Milton-Freewater, OR, and decided to bring some work there next week. I also need to create more pieces to show in November as artist of the month.

July 1, 2010 The refrigerator magnets that I made are nice small gifts. Fern, lavender, and flower pictures are forthcoming from the kilns so I’m making lots of new stuff as well as updated my link page.

May 28, 2010 Took 24 small pieces with magnets to the Pendleton Arts Center for sale today. Will make a few larger pieces this weekend to take next week for sale.

New kiln and getting ready for a show

Jan. 30, 2010 The new larger kiln arrived so I’m making three items for the Allied Arts show due Feb. 20 so that is keeping me busy the new few weekends. The first item is leaves in a frame, the second is a 3D quilt, and the third fused glass is still in the thinking stage. See the next work at Allied Arts Gallery in Richland, WA.
